General information about the WWViews questions
At the WWViews meetings on September 26, 2009, 100 citizens on 38 countries will deliberate on central issues that will be negotiated at the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen December 7 - December 18, 2009.
The questions posed to the citizens at the WWViews meetings are of course particularly important, since they are the basis for their communication, deliberation, and voting.
The questions are divided into four thematic sessions concerning:
Each thematic session consists of a thematic information video, deliberation on two to four questions, and a voting procedure.
After the fourth session, citizens will formulate their recommendations to the negotiators at COP15 on the basis of the issues debated during the whole day. For this purpose, citizens will deliberate in groups, each group producing one recommendation by consensus if possible - by voting if not. The recommendations from the individual groups will be presented to all citizens at the meeting, who will subsequently vote on each recommendation, one at the time.
The questions posed during the four thematic sessions will be presented quantitatively - as percentages on each possible answer. The recommendations, on the other hand, will be presented as prose.
