The target groups for receiving the WWViews results are politicians, negotiators and interest groups engaged in the UN climate negotiations leading up to COP15 and beyond.
The WWViews results are especially significant for climate policy-makers because they reflect the informed and considered views of a broad range of citizens across the world concerning the complex issues to be addressed at COP15.
In order to disseminate the views of the citizens, all national and regional WWViews partners have made plans for how to reach these target groups. The goal is to make them aware of results and ensure that they take them into consideration.
The results of the WWViews meetings were summed up in a Policy Report with 9 policy recommendations. The report was launched at The Danish Parliament on November 17, 2009. You can read and download the Policy Report here.
During COP15, The Danish Board of Technology hosted two side events. One at the official COP15 site at Bella Center and one at Klimaforum09 - People's Climate Summit. Pictures from the two events are available here:
The Danish Board of Technology - winner of ’The Jim Creighton Award’ 2010 for: random selection, deliberative processes, innovation and creative approaches, international reach and courage in public participation.
