Criteria for national partners joining WWViews

In order to join WWViews as national partner, the partners should meet certain criteria. They should:

  • Have some experience with making participatory activities
  • Be effective and professional in project management.
  • Be able and willing to follow the common guidelines in a worldwide project, which should make reliable and comparable results across the world.
  • Be independent of political influence and specific social parties
  • Preferably be non-profit - or at least able to take part without a profit motive for this project.

This project aims at making political awareness about the results of the citizen meetings around the world. In that sense it is not a scientific/academic aim that drives the project.

The WWViews Alliance welcomes partners from academia who join under these premises - meaning that they would in this project act more like project managers in a public project, than as academics in a research project.

It is of course not easy to find partners, who are totally unbiased with regards to the issue of global warming - maybe some are situated in environment institutes, for example - and we then suggest that they handle this up-front by making coalitions that can balance out any such bias.
